To start off this Blog entry, here is a great tweet I found that sums up Manfred's and my relation to Betas: "Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. Who put the first Beta on their primary devices" (from @HairForceOne xD).

We have always been those idiots. This idiots who install the first beta right away, on launch day of course ^^, which fucks up our whole device. Now you may think that we would at least learn out of that and don't do it again, but since iOS 6 we have installed every beta no matter which device (we even installed iOS 7.0 Beta 1 on the mighty mighty iPhone 4 and believe me..., it can't get worse than this! XD).
But something got more evident to me after years and years of beta testing and fucking up my phones: The first betas get increasingly less buggier and more stable every year! For example iOS 6.0 Beta 1 was a mess. So many bugs, without mentioning all the fails in Apple Maps. iOS 7.0 Beta 1 was only a mess on the iPhone 4 and 4S (that rhymed XD). iOS 8.0 Beta 1 was better than it's predecessor and iOS 9.0 Beta 1 was really useable as a beta on your daily device. Now with iOS 10.0 Beta 1 Apple continues to make its betas even better.
I was able to use beta 1 as a daily driver. Sure there were some bugs here and there, but nothing that annoyed me so much that I would have switched back to iOS 9. To be honest with you I wouldn't even want to anymore!
So I was really happy when Apple finally released the second beta of iOS 10 because that meant an even more stable OS. After installing the second beta I was delighted to notice that the phone overall felt snappier (you can finally shrink the blown up font in Music!!! (GET UP!!! XD)) and the many bugs and lags that I noticed in CarPlay were almost gone (the lag was completely gone, but some minor bugs remained).
All in all I love how stable Apples iOS versions have gotten over the years!
So yes, the days of avoiding betas in primary devices are over, if you can deal with a small bug here and there, and I love it!
