We have been waiting for so long and finally the time has come! On the 23th of March 2016 the long awaited movie "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" was released! I, as probably one of the biggest fans of the Dark Knight, knew right from the start that this was a movie that I shouldn't miss out on! Sadly some of the trailers spoilered so much already that I thought after them that I had seen the whole movie already! Doomsday just made me even more sceptic about the quality of the movie. But of course I still went to the cinema and saw it. How was it? Well... The action is really great! The (SPOILERS INCOMING!) batmobile chase scene was very thrilling and the fight scene between Batman and all of the thugs was intense and good looking (it looked and felt like in the Arkham games)! Ben Affleck in general is perfect as Bruce Wayne/Batman! He is by far the best actor in this movie! The only actor that I didn't really like was Jesse Eisenberg. Now look... I really like him as an actor! For example I really enjoyed his performance in "The Social Network", but in this movie he just doesn't feel like Lex Luthor to me. He feels more like a "Wannabe - Joker" and I just couldn't deal with this kind of interpretation of Luthor. By the way Lex's plan to make Superman work for him is the most convenient thing that I have seen in a movie for quite a long time! The other problem I had was with the story. It seems like the movie was supposed to be longer at first, because the first half feels very rushed. Than all of the sudden the movie starts to introduce us to members of the Justice League within a e-mail that Bruce Wayne (and I am not kidding you) sent Wonder Woman. Now look: It was obvious from the start that some members of the Justice League would be stuffed into this movie to promote the upcoming movie, but within a f***ing e-mail?!? Was that all that those highly paid writers could think of? A f***ing e-mail?!? Aside from Wonder Woman herself feeling totally rushed and forced into this movie for no apparent reason other than saving Batman and Superman once or twice, Doomsday didn't actually feel all to forced and I surprisingly enjoyed his appearance in the movie and the fact that he killed Superman (temporarily at least). The only thing that pissed me off was how he was created (first of all with Zods body and second of all with Luthors blood? WTF DC?!?) I thought it was brave of them to kill off Superman, but of course they didn't have the balls to really do that and teasered his well - being at the very end of the movie! By the way, instead of talking about reuniting the Justice League they could have also make Bruce turn to the camera and say: "By the way we are making a Justice League movie too! Go watch it when it comes out!" All in all "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is a great action movie with a rushed story and mostly forced characters. If you just want to see a action movie with your favourite DC heroes and villains in it, than you are gonna have a good time with this movie, but if you need anything more than that, than you might be disappointed by some story elements and character origins!
